During the post-match press conference, Pakistan bowling coach and former Australian Storm bowler Shaun Tait quipped, “When we lose, they send me off”. After that, the moderator of Pakistan Cricket Board turned off his mic and started asking him, “Are you okay?” The video of this entire incident is going viral on social media.
Sean Tait later praised England’s batting. He added, ‘England attacked us. He was trying to hit fours and sixes on every ball. In the opening three overs, his strategy proved effective, due to which our bowlers dug in. England’s bowling was better. “Many times you have to give credit to the batting team as well.”
While bowling, the England team restricted Pakistan to 169 runs. Salami batsman Mohammad Haris got out after scoring 7 runs. Captain Babar Azam played a brilliant innings of 87 not out. There, Iftikhar Ahmed played a good innings of 31 runs. Chasing the target, the England team achieved the target in just 14.3 overs. Philip Salt, who came to open the innings, played an innings of 88 runs. Alex Hales scored 27, Milan scored 26 and Ben Duckett scored 26.
