Covid-19 Updates: Union Health Ministry has released the data on Friday. According to which 6,168 new corona virus cases have been recorded in a day. The number of Covid-19 cases in India increased to 4,44,42,507, while active cases decreased to 59,210. The death toll rose to 5,27,932 with 21 new deaths, including two deaths in Kerala, according to data updated by the health ministry at 8 am.

Active cases account for 0.13 percent of total infections, while the recovery rate has risen to 98.68 percent, the health ministry said. In 24 hours, the active caseload has decreased by 3,538 cases.

The daily positive case rate was recorded at 1.94 percent while the weekly positive case rate was 2.51 percent, the Ministry of Health said. The number of people who have recovered from the disease has increased to 4,38,55,365 while the death rate has been recorded at 1.19%.

While the cases of Corona in the national capital are increasing rapidly, the number of deaths due to infection is also alarming. Along with this, the number of people reaching the hospital is also continuously increasing due to the rapid increase in infections. According to a report by NDTV, the number of corona patients admitted to hospitals in Delhi is increasing every day.

According to the ministry, 212.75 crore doses of Covid vaccine have been administered in the country so far under the nationwide vaccination campaign. The number of corona cases in India crossed 2 million on 7 August 2020, 3 million on 23 August, 4 million on 5 September and 5 million on 16 September.
