Till last year, Pakistan had never defeated India in any match of the ICC World Cup. Twelve times the two rivals faced each other, where India defeated Pakistan seven times in ODIs and five T20s. The Pakistan team led by Babar Azam managed to break this magic in the United Arab Emirates.
In the first match of his T20 World Cup in 2021, he defeated India by 10 wickets in a one-sided match. In that match, Shaheen Afridi bowled brilliantly with the new ball and sent Rohit Sharma to the pavilion for a golden duck.
In the previous edition of the T20 World Cup, Rohit was shown the way to the pavilion by Shaheen Afridi on his very first ball and took 3 wickets in the match.
Rameez Raja told the way to get Rohit out
On 23 October, once again both the teams will face each other in the 2022 T20 World Cup. Pakistan Cricket Board chief Rameez Raja told that Babar has a plan to get Rohit out.
Babar Azam was here with the chief selector before leaving for the World Cup and I asked him what are your plans against India.
Speaking on BBC’s podcast, Rameez revealed that he had asked Babar about the plan for the match against India before leaving for the World Cup.
Shaheen was to face Rohit and India’s team in the Asia Cup, but the fast bowler got injured. But the left-arm bowler is back in the T20 World Cup squad and is fit to play against India.
Rameez Raja said that I told Babar how Rohit can be dismissed. He said to bowl Shaheen Afridi at a speed of 100 mph, put a fielder at short leg. Just throw that inswing yorker at 100mph and don’t give him a run and keep him on strike. You’ll get them out.
