There are two types of Kalava

According to religious belief, there are two types of Kalava. A Kalava is such that there are 3 colored threads – red, green and yellow. This Kalave is considered to be a symbol of Tridev. What is the rule of tying Kalava

There are also religious rules regarding tying Kalava. According to the belief, it should be wrapped on the wrist only 3 times. Men have to tie Kalawa on the right wrist to the girls. On the other hand, married women should tie Kalava on the left wrist. Along with this, one hand should be on the head while tying the Kalava. Or the head should be covered with a clean cloth. Apart from this, the fist should be closed while tying Kalava.
